HOW INFLUENCERS ARE USING IGTV

 Influencers are excited about the opportunities IGTV presents. It seamlessly connects to IG’s 1 billion users and it automatically connects you with your original Instagram followers. No need to ask users to follow your other Social Media Platforms or linking YouTube Vids on your IG stories.

However, it does come as a surprise that influencers have not flooded IGTV with content. This may be due to one main reason -

IGTV has not yet brought on advertisers or promoted videos.

 

At the moment IG want to focus solely on building engagement. This may be why influencers have not produced loads of IGTV content – as they are simply not getting paid.

 

IG’s CEO has expressed that this will be a path they may look into further down the track, so people can make a living, but for now it is all about getting users familiar with the platform.

Regardless of this, some influencers including Kim Kardashian, Rachael Finch, Ashy Bines and Arnold Schwarzenegger have uploaded to their IGTV channel – taking advantage of the increased time limit and vertical display.

 

Kim Kardashian takes us through her KKW Beauty Pop up Shop whilst Ashy Bines has uploaded two ‘How to’ videos on relationships and wellbeing.
